KRK Covers!!!

This is it. I am so excited. The covers for books 2 and 3 have arrived.

First of all a BIG thank you is in order to the team at Solaris for selecting Clint Langley as the artist. I am so impressed with what he's done!

I love the look of all three and I love the way they work as a design when you put the three together.

Would you pick up these books if you saw them on the shelf?

These are FABULOUS! I would absolutely pick them up off the shelf. Awesome!

Partly it may be that the colours and style remind me a lot of the Brett Weeks trilogy, which I LOVED. Look forward to reading these!

Thanks, Mel.

I woke up this morning to an email from my editor with the covers and I've been floating on cloud nine all day.

Thanks, Rhonda.

I was lucky in that the publishers asked me what I thought would be good for the covers and then they chose an excellent artist, who took my suggestions and built on them.

Madly jealous...they are GORGEOUS. At the moment I am puzzling over the US cover of Stormlord Rising where the main figure is lugging the oddest shaped parcel half under her cloak...and I have a clue what it is supposed to be.

Oh, Glenda. That was why I was so delighted to see the covers when I opened my email this morning!

Wonderful covers, Rowena! awesome to see you heading for the shelf with such gusto!

Thanks, Jason.

As you know, selling the book to the publisher is only step one. There are so many steps that you have no control over and the cover is one of them.

Luckily, Clint Langley and Solaris were great to work with.

Oh wow, with the other two covers Rowena. I had seen no. 1 and the other two live up to it too. Wonderful. And definitely would take a look. Congratulations!!

Thanks, Elini.

I'm thrilled.

Oh yeah I would definitely pick these up. They look awesome. I wonder if that's the same artist who did the covers for the books Shadow Moon and Shadow Dawn, sequels to the movie Willow.

Rowena Cory Daniells said...

Amanda, that artist's name is Clint Langley. This is his web site.
